Lululemon has had quite the year—in the past 12 months, they launched their iconic Align leggings with pockets, came out with their own line of sneakers, and today they finally launched two performance hijab styles. Whether you're actually planning on working out in your Lululemon hijab or just want something lightweight, breathable, and sweat-wicking to wear on vacation this summer, there's no denying that the brand knows how to design buttery soft fabrics that are the very definition of comfort.
The launch includes two styles, one of which is the Performance Hijab ($42) available in black or blue. Specifically designed as a pull-on style to be worn while you work out, the pinless design and adjustable drawstring are designed to completely stay put while you move. It's available in two sizes: S/M or M/L.
The other, more traditional style is the Scarf-Style Hijab ($38) available in either heather grey or pink. This is definitely the option you'll want to opt for if you're more interested in something for daily wear or low-impact activities like yoga, weight lifting, or walks. Rest easy knowing that whichever one you choose, it'll feature Lululemon's super lightweight and soft performance fabric.
It's no secret that the world of fashion has a long way to go when it comes to inclusivity—performance hijab options are extremely limited, so this is absolutely a step in the right direction. Here's hoping more brands in the activewear space follow suit with more options and styles to come.
